Owner: Tim Rounsville Location: Based at the Reading Airport Type of service provided: 4 daily round trips between the Reading Airport and the Philadelphia Airport - leaving the Reading Airport at 7:00am, 10:30am, 2:00pm, and 5:30pm; leaving the Philadelphia Airport for the Reading Airport at 8:30am, 12:00pm, 3:30pm and 7:00pm. Number of employees: 2 full time, 3 part time History of myself and the beginning: Graduate of Oley High School, Bloomsburg University with an accounting degree. I've held several accounting positions - the last being with a paper mill - which was bought by another company and I lost my job. The same situation occurred before, and after the last time, I vowed to myself that I am getting too old to put my future in someone else's hands. I always wanted to have my own business and decided this was the perfect time to start - the only problem was - I did not know what business I wanted - this was in 2003. After I lost my job, a buddy and myself went to a mutual's friend's home in Prescott, Arizona, which is 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. We go over there pretty regularly, and when we do go, he'll come down to the Phoenix airport to pick us up, but on our way coming home - we always take the local shuttle service from Prescott back to Phoenix. On our return to Phoenix on this particular trip - while on the van - I experienced a feeling I never experienced before - and at that moment - knew I was going to start a shuttle business in Reading. When I got home, I did the research, and found out that yes, there is a viable market for low cost transportation from Reading to Philadelphia. I also found out that this type of service in Pennsylvania is regulated by the PUC, so I started the process of obtaining a "certificate of public convenience", allowing me to operate in the state. After proving to the state that this service was needed, and undergoing numerous background checks, a certificate was finally issued March 30, 2004, and my first run was on April 1, 2004. Business from 2004 to current: I started April, 2004, from my home. In October, 2004, moved my base of operations from my home to the Reading Airport, when I hired my first employee. Since then, I have added three more employees as well as another van, and have seen the business steadily increase. Thank you for riding with us!!! Member
